Building homes is rooted deep in the Stayman family's heritage.
Dale and Nelson Stayman founded Stayco Construction in 1983.
Dale and Nelson's grandfather was a builder, who taught the
trade to their uncle, who then passed on the trade to them.
Nelson and Dale have over 60 years combined experience building
homes. Dale and Nelson have built some very unique
projects. Stayco's first home was an underground home with
a sun-heated pool that acted as a thermal mass, storing heat for
the home. Through the years, Stayco has built homes
involving timber frame construction, homes with circular and
even elliptical staircases, homes with hydro-therapy pools, and
projects with unique and sometimes complex structural systems.
In 2008, Stayco is celebrating it's 25th anniversary.
Michael Stayman began helping his dad, Nelson, on the job site
when he was about 14 years old. Mike joined Stayco
full-time in 1996 after graduating with distinction from Penn
State University with a Bachelor of Science in Structural Design
and Construction Engineering Technology, a major focusing on two
pillars of building construction, structural engineering and
construction management. Mike is a professional member of
the American
Institute of Building Design (AIBD) and is credentialed as a
Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) through the
National Council
of Building Designer Certification (NCBDC).
Stayco employs fine craftsman who we
are very proud of. Without them, we could not serve our
community with the fine homes that we do. If
you call our office, you will probably speak to Mike or Nicole.
Nicole is our bookkeeper and she would be glad to help you with
billing issues. Our office staff
provides vital support to our field operations. |
